Synopsis

A storm that never stops, and in the middle of it, an outdoor birthday party. Four performers celebrate as if nothing were happening, while brass-band music drifts in from far away. LAPOT takes its name from an ancient Serbian myth in which elders were celebrated by their community, then killed as an act of love. In this second part of his trilogy on ageism, begun with The Lucky Children, Omar Ghayatt creates a dreamlike performance of images, bodies and sound about how we disappear at the end of life, and the tenderness, the cruelty and the silent agreements with which we let one another go

Synopsis
Conceived as a haunting dreamscape unfolding in three acts—Paradise, Purgatory, and Inferno—through an accessible yet provocative metaphor, the performance critically examines our fragile human condition in an era marked by polarization and escalating conflicts, exposing how human beings destroy one another due to imaginary stories that reside in our minds.

Synopsis

The Lucky Children is a dream-like ride that dives into the inner universe of three people grappling with memory disorders. The events take place on a desolate, windswept beach while they strive to rekindle their memories; in a world where past and present have merged, desperately clinging to the remnants of their fading memories as a lifeline, they celebrate these dimming recollections before they vanish entirely. On stage, the boundaries between childhood and old age blur and dissolve in a poignant display.
